Zeiba Kuicani & El Flores

Zeiba Kuicani is a composer, rapper, singer, traditional musician, versadora, poet, repenista, freestyler, arranger, and producer. She is originally from Mexico City and has a 20-year career in music and 18 years in Hip Hop. In her compositions, she has developed an instrumental rap style inspired by the rhythms and poetic structures of traditional Mexican music. Her lyrics portray the feelings and resistance struggle of the world's oppressed, who are the reason behind all her songs.

Since 2017, she has been working with musician and producer El Flores, also from Mexico City and a member of the traditional Mexican music group "El Arado," alongside his family, with whom he has given concerts in countries such as Taiwan, Serbia, Romania, and Hungary. He has also worked as a producer at Muntu Records, an independent label dedicated to rap.

Zeiba Kuicani & El Flores have created a unique blend between their musical roots and creative proposal. The compositions, singing, and lyrics of Zeiba are the fabric, and the guitar and voice of El Flores are the weave of this beautiful sound tapestry. Together, they make their music with guitar, jarana huasteca, synthesizers, drum machines, and vocal ensembles that imbue each song with nuances. On stage, they often take the audience on a journey that moves between rap, décima espinela, reggae, and the mournful songs of traditional Mexican music.

They are currently promoting their first album titled "Somos Flechas," which they produced independently.
